SKYSCRAPER
The skyscraper project called for a mixed-use tower on a plot of land along San Francisco’s scenic Embarcadero, across from the Ferry Building and in close proximity to numerous other high-rises. The building was to incorporate cutting-edge efficiencies to minimize its energy footprint and aid in climate control. As such, the final design featured a fine, articulating mesh over the exterior that would track and shade against sunlight, and regulate the internal temperature.
Designed in collaboration with Liam Murphy and Spencer Hanson in the fall of 2008
